BOOK 2

In the book Blackwater by Eue Bunting the town is confflicted by the fact that Otis and Pauline die in the Blackwater river. Brodie the main cherecter is the cause of the're death but not tottally responsible for it but one lie changes the storie and leads them into more trouble. I liked this book because it is exciting and really fun to read it. I liked when the author descrives the scene when Brodie and Hannah are at the river and they talk about what happend. The author did a good job of descriveing the emotions of Hannah. Overall the book was pretty good and i got hooked on as i read it. The conflict tied really good into the story and it seemed liked it could have bein a real life situation. what i have a question on is, if Bodies dad was a preacher, why didnt he know better than to go and get gealous and go up to Pauline and lie about what happend? He should of just told the truth an dsave himself alot of guilt. The book didnt have any religous themes even though his dad is really religous.

Blackwater

The old Blackwater runs real fierce out there. Dad says its mad because we tame it.

Brodie is the main charecter and he is saying this to his cousin Alex. brodie is going to teach him how to swim and he tells him this because the river is violently splashing againts the rocks. This sort of foreshadows that someone is going to get hurt or drown in the Blackwater river. This quote is significant because it explains how the water is using personification, that the water is a living thing and it has grudges.

Brians Hunt {charecter}

Brian is character in Brian’s Hunt. He is a male sixteen year old that lives in the wilderness and hunt stuff. So far I don’t know much about his past and family but he has been in the “wild” since he was fourteen because I read that from the story. He has been having nightmares about him being in a plane with no other passengers and the pilot dies, he wakes up when the plane crashes down into trees and on a  lake a he drowns. Brian is a smart teen that isn’t afraid and knows a lot about Animals and can recognize them by sound. Brian is a skilled archery hunter and he knows a lot about arrow heads and rivers and  the landscape around him. This is how Brian is in Brian’s Hunt.

Death

How should your death be like casandra from the balcony or hanged by the stage curtines like christina.

     Vicky is saying this to Mallorie. And  Mallorie strugles to get free but no one can here her  and she gives up hope of being alive. Mallorie is distracted by cole comeing in to look for Mallorie, but she tells him that she left. By then he laves and mallorie is about to be murderd. Vicky was about to throw her off the balcony and then skipper comes to the reascue and sves Mallorie. Vicky goes to Jail and Mallorie is relafed that she is alive.

Check Out the Package

"Mallorie theres a package for you, it arrived in the mail."

      First of all Mallories dad is the one saying this after Mallorie comes from rehersal at night. To recall mallorie took the lead in the play from Vicky and also her boyfriend. This makes Mallorie seem like a really bad person but  she did this with no bad intensin, Brendon was already gona breakup with Vicky and Mr. Axton told Mallorie to take the lead cus he knows shes better at it.
Any who, The package is from Mallorie and inside is a bundle of dead roses and bugs some roches and flies, also a poem that threatens her to watch her back or she would be the next on to die at the theater like the two other girls from long ago.

   

Ditched

     "I'll drive you home". vicky offered. "Oh thanks" mallorie said.

     In this quote Vicky is saying this to Mallorie. Earlier in the story Vicky told mallorie that she would be sorry for stealing the lead role in the play. Vicky comes of all nice trying to give Mallorie a ride home, Mallorie signals off the last bus of the night, thinking that Vicky will give her a ride home. The bus leaves and Mallorie tries to open the door of her car and find it lock. Vicky drives away laughing and Mallorie has to walk home late at night. I think that this causes rivalry between them and Makkorie will try to get revenge.


    
  

Bad Guy

     Dont you dare ever try to upstage me again, or youll be sorry.

     This quote is said by Vicky a college student at the theater. She is saying this to Mallorie because Mr. Axton the play director randomly chooses Mallorie to show Vicky how the play is acted. He askes Mallorie to act the scene because Vicky was horrible at it, i think it was because she was nervous and because the scene was about happyness and Vicky is mainly good at acting emotionality. Anyway Mallorie endsup doing really good at acting the scene that Vicky takes it the wronge way thinking that Mallorie tryed to upstage her. Vicky sort of warns her to back of anmd not to mess with her or Mallorie will have something bad happen to her. This ties up most of the story together and couses alot of conflicts.


 

This would be the look Vicky give Mallorie after he warns her not to upstage her.
